The Mehr Boys
The Mehr boys were a positive influence in the Northland Pines community for the span of a generation. They grew up in Conover, Wisconsin, and were active in sports, church and serving in the community. Since graduating from Northland Pines, the Mehr boys have continued serving in their local communities and throughout the world. Building on the strong tradition instilled by their parents, and fostered dedicated teachers and administrators at Northland Pines, each went on to complete advanced degrees. The Mehr boys provide scholarships annually to graduating seniors to help them further their education and positively impact the world as NPHS alumni.

The Alumni Hall of Fame has been in place since 2008 and has inducted 38 members who are celebrated on a display in the Northland Pines High School foyer. The Alumni Hall of Fame was created with two thoughts in mind. The first is to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of Northland Pines and/or Eagle River Union High School alumni. The second is to bring to the forefront outstanding role models for our current and future student bodies.
The committee is asking community members to submit a nomination form if they know an outstanding alumnus who has been out of high school for at least 20 years. They are also accepting nominations for individuals who have contributed to the school district’s success in ways other than being a student. Nominees may also include teachers, secretarial or custodial personnel, etc. The deadline for the 2024 class nominations is January 31, 2024. The nomination form is available on the NPSD website: npsd.k12.wi.us.
