As a District our educational staff are committed to providing challenging and engaging curriculum that seeks to meet rigorous standards. Teachers at Northland Pines strive to offer differentiated learning opportunities that meet the needs of all learners, ensuring that each student learns something new in each class each day. Report cards and progress reports are a wonderful tool to gauge student learning, but information is also available on our website and by contacting teachers directly. We encourage you as parents to be involved in school and your child(ren)’s learning.
There are many supports available to students to help support learning. At the elementary level, most teachers have webpages that offer information on what is happening in class and links, materials with ideas for home activities. In the middle and high school parents and students can use the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to watch more frequently to see how progress is coming. Our Middle School and High School Library Media Center is open most nights for a great place to work, and peer tutoring is available in a variety of subjects. Please take the time to reflect on goals for your child’s education, continue to work hard and revisit those goals so we accomplish all we set out to do this year - together. This website and the resources of the Curriculum and Instruction office are there for families and staff to use as a resource for helping you and your child become better informed.
If you have additional questions on Curriculum and Instruction, please contact Karie Jo Bornberg.
