The Pines Community Wellness Center will be offering the Strong Women Program, a 10-week exercise program for middle-aged and older women on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Exercise Room located in the Wellness Center of the Northland Pines High School building. The series will begin on Tuesday, September 16 through November 20, 2014. |

The Northland Pines School District took over the YMCA in Eagle River in March. Since then, some new people have bought memberships to the gym. Membership fees don't cover all the costs of running the Pines Community Wellness Center so organizers are hoping a popular night time run will help. |

The Northland Pines School District and the YMCA Eagle River Branch partnership would like to jointly announce effective March 1, 2014, that the Northland Pines School District will assume responsibility of operating and maintaining a wellness center located in the Northland Pines High School. This new endeavor will be named the “Pines Community Wellness Center” and will no longer be affiliated with the YMCA of the Northwoods. Both entities are collaboratively working together to ensure a smooth transition. |
