Outdoor Pursuits – Final Project
Wilderness Trip
Either alone, with a partner, or in a group of three you will plan a three day wilderness adventure and present your plan to the class. Presentations will be during the last week of the term and should last approximately 5-8 minutes.
The list below must be included in your plan: Be Specific!
-schedule or agenda of events and activities to be experienced
-safety plan
-equipment needed (gear, clothing, etc)
-maps
-food
-travel plans (to and from destination)
-shelter
-information or materials about your destination
-miscellaneous information
-why you chose this adventure
You must hand in a typed plan also. This should include the above information. The goal of the trip is up to you. It could be anything from trout fishing in Canada to caving in Mexico to a Safari in Africa. Think of outdoor activities and fun destinations and go from there. You must be specific. No two groups should have the same destination and purpose. Be creative!
Your grade will be based on the quality of work put into the project. The more work and information put into the project the higher your grade will be. The presentations may include some elements of humor in them but this project is not a joke it is your final!! Take it serious and put some thought into it. See me with any questions regarding this project.
