Sandy relocated to Eagle River from Illinois 12 years ago. She wanted to enjoy the Northwoods year 'round after several years just visiting. After working for a machine shop in Rhinelander for 10 years she decided to retire earlier this year. Having always been active Sandy became a member of the Pines Community Wellness Center and started enjoying the facility and the classes they had to offer. Sandy enjoys the Total Body Senior and Cardio Core classes she takes as well as the Friday community "independent study" outings, including biking or kayaking during the warmer months. We hope to include snowshoeing and cross-country skiing during the colder months. She was encouraged to join the Pines Community Wellness Center staff to share her enthusiasm for physical activity with others.

Quita has been practicing yoga since 1992 and teaching since 2003. Her day job is with the Vilas County Land & Water Conservation Dept. As both a plant ecologist and a yoga practitioner/teacher her focus in life is an awareness of function and form. Being aware of the condition of the land as you inhabit and move through it. Being aware of your mind and body as you inhabitant and move through your life. She loves sharing that awareness with people, especially with people new to yoga.
