The George F. Kennan Forum on International Issues is sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Center for International Education and Institute of World Affairs and Wisconsin Public Radio. The Forum's focus this past year was The US and the Changing Global Order and featured Thomas Donnelly a Resident Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and Nina Hachigian a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress. Forum is broadcast live on WPR's Ben Merens' show and Milwaukee Public Television.
Prior to attending the Forum, students from Northland Pines visited the newly opened Museum of Jewish History at the Milwaukee Jewish Federation. We toured the Museum and then visited the Holocaust Memorial as a culmination to our unit on the Holocaust in our Humanities class. In between the two events, students ate lunch on the south side of Milwaukee at La Fuente restaurant.
