Parenting Workshops 2013-2014
What Kids Need to Succeed
Parents are invited to participate in one or more of 4 workshops on First Monday evenings during the 2013-14 school year.
Social-Emotional Education is a way to guide your children in their understanding of themselves, their development of social skills, and their achievement of personal success.
Would you like to learn ways to help your children
build self-motivation and the social-emotional skills necessary for personal success?
deal with regulation of their emotions and behaviors?
improve their skills at developing and maintaining positive relationships with family and friends?
organize their time and manage stress?
incorporate mindful ways of doing things into their everyday lives?
identify their strengths and talents and how to use them effectively?
The Social-Emotional Education workshop sessions are facilitated by Paula Hillmann PhD, LPC*. They include discussions about feelings, activities that improve understanding of social-emotional development, and opportunities to network with other parents.
